Applecross Peninsula, Wester Ross, North West Scotland.

I remember watching on this cold autumn afternoon in October, noticing the light dancing across the sea between where I stood and the Isle of Skye on the opposing side of Applecross Bay. I knew I was in for some special light and moved into position in the hope that the light would land where I wanted. Suddenly, and this doesn’t happen very often, there was a break in the moody sky above and a shaft of light lit the crystal blue waters of the bay below. The turbulent water is enhanced by the light as it bounces off its surface. This scene lasted only a very few brief seconds and I consider myself very fortunate to have witnessed it, let alone capture it forever.
