Clear
Manesty Woods

Manesty Woods in Borrowdale is a haven for the intimate landscape photographer, offering an extraordinary diversity of natural beauty. Nestled on the shores of Derwentwater, this enchanting woodland is a tapestry of textures and colors, where ancient oaks, silver birches, and moss-clad boulders create captivating compositions in every direction. The shifting light filters through the canopy, casting dappled shadows and revealing hidden details that reward a keen eye. Seasonal changes enhance the charm, from the vibrant greens and delicate wildflowers of spring to the golden hues and mist-laden atmosphere of autumn. Streams weave through the forest, reflecting the surrounding serenity and adding dynamic elements for the creative lens. Whether focusing on the intricate patterns of lichen or the interplay of water and stone, Manesty Woods offers endless opportunities to capture the soul of nature in its most intimate forms.

Why Choose This Workshop?
  • Small Group
With a maximum of three participants, you’ll receive hands-on, tailored tuition. No overcrowded sessions—just focused guidance to elevate your skills and unlock your creative potential.
  • Unpredictable Weather, Unlimited Opportunities
Spring and autumn in the UK bring ever-changing conditions, from gentle rain to moody overcast skies and dynamic winds. These elements aren’t obstacles—they’re your tools for creating striking, intimate landscapes that stand out.
  • Learn to See Beauty in the Everyday
If you’ve followed my YouTube channel, you know that incredible images often emerge from the unexpected. Rain, overcast light, or wind? Perfect conditions to uncover hidden gems and capture the unique character of the landscape.

Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just starting out, this workshop offers a rewarding experience no matter the forecast.
